                  19 SUCCESS TIPS TO RAISE MOTIVATION TO LEARN STUDENTS

I. Book identity

      Motivation is part of the effort of a person's learning process. Motivation is important in learning activities inside and outside of school. Motivation is the awareness and enthusiasm of someone to love something they want to do. Motivation can also be done if someone wants something to be achieved. Motivation can be done in 2 ways, namely oral and written.

      Learning motivation is also often a problem faced by many students in Indonesia. Some indicators that describe students with low learning motivation are often truant, get bored quickly, as long as they take lessons, are lazy to do assignments, there is no effort to reach achievements, low achievement of learning outcomes, and so forth.

      The low learning motivation is influenced by two actors, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors themselves are the biggest factors determining motivation to learn, these factors include nature, habits, intelligence, physical condition, and psychological. In addition to internal factors, there are also external factors, namely teacher factors, learning environment, facilities, and parents.

      To overcome the low learning motivation of students, efforts are needed to generate motivation. Efforts that can be done are by recognizing the character of students, this can be done by recognizing various kinds of intelligence of students such as linguistic, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, kinesthetic-physical, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist intelligence. In addition to recognizing the intelligence of students, the thing to know is the learning style of students, whether students have a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning style. By recognizing the characteristics of students, it can be determined that the learning process is appropriate and effective.

      As a teacher, a warm, cooperative and humorous attitude is required in teaching. This attitude can be implemented in a friendly way to students, providing a good example, patience in facing student delinquency, can put themselves in attitude, both as teachers, friends, and parents of students.

      Motivation is not only done by students, but from teachers to students, from families to students, and from the environment to students. This external motivation will greatly help students in reaching their learning spirit.

II. Analysis

A. Strengths: The material in the book is very enlightening to the teacher and students, given the author is very interesting and very helpful in increasing students' learning motivation, choosing words from writers that are easy to digest and observe, interesting and brightly colored book covers make books must and need to be read. The nature of the author and the moral messages in it are very helpful in the development of the motivation of the readers of this book.

B. Weaknesses: In this book, it does not provide illustrations or images that can make the reader imagine what position the author is playing, or what messages can be imagined like real life.
